Overnight oats, except warm. It’s genius. And so delicious. I love waking up to a hot breakfast in the winter… or anytime really!
I’m a mama of two under two and some days we NEED these easy, warm, breakfasts. I know some families can do the whole cereal for breakfast thing – more power to you! We, however, need protein and a more substantial breakfast for better moods and to stay full longer.
This recipe combines a classic favorite with a modern solution: the crock-pot.
We love these crock-pot oats two ways, but they are endlessly customizable.
The night before you want a warm lovely breakfast waiting for you when you wake up, take out your crock-pot and stir together all the ingredients, turn it to keep warm overnight, and you will have breakfast hot and ready the next morning.
To serve, you can add a scoop of Greek yogurt for extra protein, or just serve as is! This also keeps well in the refrigerator to reheat.
Berry Cheesecake Crock-Pot Oatmeal

Ingredients
3 cups Whole Milk
1 cup Water
2 cups Rolled Oats*
¼ cup Maple Syrup
3 tbsp. Chia Seeds
3 scoops of Protein Powder**
2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
2 tsp. Cinnamon
1 ½ cups Frozen Berries (mixed berries or blueberries work!)
4 oz. Cream Cheese
2 tbsp. Butter
* We recommend One Degree Sprouted Organic Oats from Costco!
** Promix Vanilla is our protein powder of choice.
Instructions
Pour milk, water, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup, chia seeds, and protein powder into the crockpot. Whisk together.
Add frozen fruit and oats and stir.
Place the butter and cream cheese on top of the oats. Cover the crock-pot and leave it on the keep warm setting for 8-10 hours.
Stir and serve warm with Greek yogurt on top!
